Dibner, Heralds of Science, 130; and G-M 989 (all citing the Plattsburg, N.Y. 1833 edition). R & B 23254. This Boston issue is made up of sheets from the Plattsburg edition with a cancel title. The greatest American contribution to medical science in the 19th century and the most important work on the physiology of digestion before Pavlov. This issue is scarcer than the first edition.
