Review of the past year's events, replete with local incident, but with the locality not determined, possibly Newport, R.I. There are references to "Dupont's Powder Mill," Townsend's Hotel, the Thames Art Gallery, and several restaurants-"Vose's," "Goffs" and "Stacy's." Objects to cotton mills "of Extra size" as "Promoters of Oppression." A military corp departed for Texas, but returned almost immediately. Not in the usual format of a carrier's address, apparently published late, after New Year's Day, because "Our Patent Spring Napier Steam Press,/ By bad luck burst its boiler."
