Designated No. 1 on the front wrap, with a note on p. 66 that a second part would be issued. Wright II, 2588 lists a 312 page work by Victor with the same title published in 1859. The copyright in this work is by Street & Smith. Johannsen, The House of Beadle and Adams, II, 279, indicates that Mrs. Victor did author A Bad Boy's Diary.
