An attractive production, title printed in red and black, limited to two hundred copies. This copy is enhanced by the addition of a carte-de-visite of the author, mounted as a frontispiece, and two contemporary (1850 & 1862) playbills which have been tipped-in. Some later ephemera has been tipped to the endpapers or laid in, including an obituary notice of the author which contains the following pencilled note: "Written in imitation of the obituary notices by E. H. Hazard in the [Providence] Journal by Mr. Blake himself." A unique copy of an important source. Sabin 5764.
