Hammett, A Contribution to the Bibliography and Literature of Newport, R.I., p. 83. The Newport map, in the upper lefthand corner, was drawn by George F. Turner, from his own measurements. The Aquidneck map was surveyed in November 1849 by Hammett, and drawn by Turner.
