Arbour, Canvassing Books, 1113-15. In the subscription leaves are 20 names of ostensible subscribers, two from Bristol and the remainder from Providence, R.I., including Gen. E[lisha] H[unt] Rhodes, ex-Mayor William Hayward, Brown University historian, Ruben A. Guild, and other public officials and locally well known figures.

Inasmuch as neither style of binding nor price are marked, one might wonder whether the list is a set-up for would-be Rhode Island buyers.
