Stephen Decatur led a small boat attack to burn her as she lay aground, and first achieved fame through this exploit. Attacks on the Barbary pirates eventually led to freeing the captured American sailors." Huntress does not collate the 18 pages of verse by Ray printed at the back of the book. |
