     Upham was President of Bowdoin where Packard served on the faculty for 65 years, numbering Hawthorne and Longfellow among his students. Includes a short printed note thanking Packard for delivering this eulogy signed in type by Joshua L. Chamberlain, famous Maine Civil War general, as head of the Bowdoin Alumni Association.
