A total of 8 additional numbered pages are inserted between pages 26 and 27, 58 and 59. Nineteen hand-colored lithographed maps (all but one double-paged), 26 lithographed plates (many with multiple images, most printed on the versos of maps). $3,500.00


    Smith 11030. Soliday IV: 439. The earliest published county atlas for Oregon, with extremely detailed maps of the various townships showing ownership of the various plots of land, railroads, roads, physical features, etc. The lithographed views depict many of the farms of the region, public buildings including the State Capitol in Salem and a handful of private residences. There is also extensive textual content, with a history of each of the two counties biographical sketches of leading citizens and a directory of important county businesses. Reprinted by the Oregon Historical Society in 1976, in a much smaller format.
