(CONNECTICUT). Report of the Commissioners Appointed by the General Assembly of this Colony, To Treat with the Proprietaries of Pennsylvania, Respecting the boundaries of This Colony and that Province. Evans 13214. Sabin 15685. Vail 629: "...the controversy between the two colonies over the title to the lands of the Wyoming Valley, Pennsylvania, settled by the Susquehannah Company of Connecticut.... Their mission was entirely unsuccessful." Evans, Sabin and Vail call for only 36 pages. Page 37 contains an extended note that "We accompanied our Letter with this Card...To which the Governor replied..."

The claims on behalf of the Susquehanna Company were based upon the Royal Charter of 1662; they were for lands north of the 41st parallel along the Susquehanna claimed by Pennsylvania under the 1681 royal charter to William Penn. Pennsylvania finally gained title in 1800. Rare.
