Holl, 1792. 1st ed. 8vo. 10, 348 pp. Errata slip. Aeg.  Engraved title & four copperplates. Full contemp. heavily gilt red morocco binding. Hinges cracked, but very sound. A handsome binding. Engraved frontis. & title moderately foxed & stained, otherwise very clean. One leaf with short tear in margin. $1,500.00

 

With an ink inscription: "Stichel House/ A present from the Duke of Roxburgh." The Duke was one of the greatest book collectors of all times. CBEL II, 1554.
