Very scarce; 1500 copies of this edition were printed (versus 3,000 each for the Plattsburgh 1833 and Boston 1834 editions). Grolier, American One Hundred #38 (Plattsburgh ed.). Generally considered the most original American contribution to medical science in the 19th century and the most important work on the subject before that of Pavlov.
