    Written by Samuel G. Howe's daughter for young readers, chiefly an account of his youthful fight for Greek independence (also explaining that he went to Brown rather than Harvard because the latter was controlled by Federalists). With a portrait of Howe and a page of raised type for blind children prepared at the Perkins Institute, containing three verses from a Whittier poem.
