Unrecorded. Textually complete, as text ends on p. 31, and ads begin; probably lacks one leaf of ads. Cf. McMurtrie 147 & 176, and Byrd 1314, all farriers by Sloan during this period, but not this separate title on cattle. Byrd 1314 refers to Sloan's 1848 Complete Farrier; the printer for Sloan was C. Butterfield; our work was printed for Sloan by Davis & Co. Byrd notes that Sloan "was the first patent medicine 'king' of Chicago."
