Howes B 314. Wagner-Camp 284.4. Streeter 3376. Contains a brief account of the authors trip from Illinois to Oregon in 1853, but more importantly, describes and condemns the harsh treatment of the Indians by the emigrants. As a result Beeson became unpopular in Oregon and had to flee to California.
