    First published in 1861, with four editions by 1871.Not in the standard bibliographies, American or Canadian.  Accounts of converting the Indians to Methodism; early opposition from the Hicksite Quakers, etc. He was the first Christian missionary among a number of Canadian Indian tribes, and Rick Grunder has observed that the book is filled with colorful anecdotes and revival sequences which parallel closely revival episodes which occur in the Book of Mormon.
