Written by Jackson's lawyers in an effort to disprove the claims of Morton, this pamphlet was issued simultaneously with a periodical appearance in Littell's Living Age and contains, in addition, a section by Joseph Hale Abbot on "Principles Recognized by Scientific Men Applied to the Ether Controversy" (pp. [33] - 37).
